Opava and Ostrava · Full-time · Hybrid, 2–3 office days a week
We’re looking for a product manager who goes deep on the business — how it works and why — and makes sure the team knows the why behind what it builds.
We’re Ströer Labs, with teams in Germany, Spain, Czechia and New Zealand. As the tech unit of Ströer, a publicly listed German media group, we build the full adtech stack behind Germany’s largest digital advertising sales house, from planning to delivery and measurement.
You’d be responsible for products across our stack, from idea to launch, working as an equal partner to our engineers. Our teams are small and international, you’d always have another PM alongside you, and each team holds its area for the long term.
You bring
- Several years of product work in a software company. You know what the role actually involves; this isn’t a place to learn the fundamentals.
- A head for systems: how the pieces fit, what they make possible, and where their limits are.
- A hands-on habit. Specs, prototypes, whatever makes an idea concrete — you’d rather show a rough version than describe one. AI tools like Claude Code are part of everyday work here, and we’ll help you make them part of yours.
- Proactivity. Nobody hands you a list of tasks: you work out what matters most in your area, and then you get it done.
- The ability to explain why something matters, not just what needs doing, to a salesperson in one sentence and to an engineer in the next.
- English at C1 or better. Fluent German is a big bonus, but not something we expect.
- A base within reach of Opava or Ostrava, and openness to a few trips a year, mostly to Germany.
Adtech experience is a plus, not a requirement.
We hold ourselves to a high standard, and it comes with real freedom: you’d have a say in the product and the way we work.
Sound like you? Take a few more minutes for the full ad version — it shows the actual work, the team and how hiring works. If it still feels right, send your CV and a few lines about what caught your eye. We’ll start with a coffee with Dominik, our Head of Product, in Opava or Ostrava — simply to get to know each other.

Opava or Ostrava, Czech Republic · Full-time · Hybrid
We’re looking for a product manager who goes deep on the business — how it works and why — and makes sure the team knows the why behind what it builds.
We’re a Czech software company inside the Ströer Labs group, building the technology behind Germany’s largest digital advertising sales house. We own the full stack — DSP, SSP, ad server and data management platform — across web, mobile, video, CTV and digital screens in the real world.
The Ströer group runs roughly 300,000 advertising faces including more than 11,300 digital screens, and its t-online portal alone reaches around 47 million people a month. What we build runs the digital side of that today, and more of it is on the way.
The work
Our forecasting is a good example of the problems we work on, and the most likely place you’d start.
Forecasting simulates how a campaign will deliver, before it’s booked and while it’s running. Someone in sales configures a campaign and needs to know whether it will deliver what we’re promising. The answer depends on what inventory is available and on every other campaign competing for the same opportunities, so the answer changes as other campaigns are booked. The product work is deciding what the forecast needs to answer, when accuracy is worth the extra time and when it isn’t, and how to make a number that keeps changing into something sales can trust.
Our users are our own sales and operations teams, mostly German-speaking. Our tech unit runs in English, across Málaga, Berlin, Munich, Opava, Ostrava and Christchurch, New Zealand.
Working with AI
Our engineering is AI-oriented and that extends to product. Everyone gets a Claude Code subscription, and it gets used for real work: drafting release notes from what actually shipped, writing specs, working through interview results, building prototype apps you deploy to our playground for other people to click through. We don’t expect you to produce production code — though if a UI label needs fixing, you’re welcome to open the pull request yourself. This isn’t a side experiment, and we expect it to be part of how you work too. The subscription is company-paid, and if something works better, we’ll switch.
How we work
The heart of the job is the why: understanding why a problem matters, and making sure the team understands it too. A team that knows the why solves the problem properly; a team that only has a spec builds what it was told. In practice that means knowing sales and operations well enough to push back on them, and knowing the system well enough to say what it’ll take.
You’d be responsible for products across our stack, from idea to launch, working as an equal partner to our engineers.
We organise into domain teams that hold their area for the long term, the business side and the technical one. Teams are small: five to seven people, two of them product managers — so you’d never be the only product person in the room — the rest engineers, plus data scientists where the domain needs them. UX designers work across teams rather than inside one. You’d be in two domain teams at a time. The second is something we decide together once you’ve found your feet, and neither is fixed for good. In Czechia we’re four product managers and a UX designer, around sixteen across the wider product organisation. You’d report to me, Dominik, Head of Product.
There’s always someone in the Opava and Ostrava offices. We’d like you there two to three days a week; which days, and how that flexes, is yours to settle with your team.
What we’re looking for
You’ve done product work in a software company for a few years and you know what the role actually involves — this isn’t a place to learn the fundamentals.
- You can hold a system in your head: how the pieces fit, what it makes possible, and where its limits are.
- You get your hands dirty — specs, prototypes, whatever makes the idea concrete. You’d rather show a rough version than describe one.
- Nobody hands you a list of tasks. You work out what matters most in your area, and then you get it done.
- You read people well and can explain why something matters, not just what needs doing: to a salesperson in one sentence, and to an engineer in the next. Most of this job is communication.
- English at C1 or better is required; it’s how our tech unit works and how you’d work with users day to day. Fluent German is a big bonus, but not something we expect: our users are mostly native German-speaking.
- You live within reach of Opava or Ostrava, or plan to. The office is where most of the connections this job runs on get built.
- You’re up for a few trips a year to see colleagues, mostly in Germany
Adtech experience is a plus, not a requirement — you’ll build that depth here.
Most of this job is people work, which is the hardest part of any product role. The pressure is real too, though it doesn’t come from deadlines — we carry serious responsibility and hold ourselves to a high standard. It’s demanding, and we’d rather you knew that now than later. It’s also where the freedom, the ownership and the accountability come from.
None of that is yours to carry alone. Your team, the other product managers, the people who lead functions and still do the work themselves — there’s always someone who knows the problem well enough to think it through with you. Part of being senior, to us, is noticing when you need help and asking for it.
What you get
- A culture built on mutual trust
- Real influence over the product, the process and the way we work
- A fast, start-up-paced environment with the stability of an international group
- Another product manager in every team
- An international team you’ll actually meet in person
- Users you can actually reach
- AI tools, paid for and taken seriously
Your first three months
You’ll shadow an experienced product manager, learn the domain, and take over responsibilities step by step. You’ll be making real calls well before the three months are up.
Expect to be in the office more at the start. The connections you’ll lean on later don’t get built over video.
How hiring works
First you talk to Dominik, Head of Product. Preferably over coffee in Opava or Ostrava, so you can see the place. If getting here isn’t practical yet, we’ll start with a call. The point is just to get to know each other.
After that you’ll meet my counterparts in Germany, and the team you’d be joining. We want them to have a say, and you to see who you’d be working with.
We won’t leave you waiting weeks. If a decision needs longer than we’d like, we’ll tell you where things stand rather than going quiet on you.
Get in touch
If this sounds like your kind of work, talk to us. A CV and a few lines about what caught your eye is all we need. We’d be glad to meet over a coffee or tea.
